DUT AppFactory Interns Workshop Presentations
The DUT AppFactory Workshop presentations allows team work where every Intern is given ability to demonstrate they technological aspects which are meant to grant knowledge, persuade and build goodwill or simply to present a new idea or a product.
These presentations take place using Microsoft Teams which encourages the DUT AppFactory Interns to prepare and participate on keeping their colleagues up-to-date when it comes to the latest tech news from around the world.
This past week, the DUT AppFactory hosted its own Interns Workshop Presentation exercise on 17 June 2022 at 13h00 - 14h00
The Workshop presentation topics were Software Testing and Data Security These two topics derived from the entire DUT AppFactory Interns and they randomly selected four Interns to do presentations.
Mkhize Zodwa and Vela Made they both elaborated on software testing, and they explained the reasons why it is so important and they spoke about the correlation between Development and Testing Life Cycle they went further more on different types of testing and the workflow.
Nkazimulo Mbhele and Muthunzi Siputuma they explained Data and Data Security the principles of data security and they explained the technologies which can be used on data protection.
The Interns were basically having unique views based on the chosen topics The DUT AppFactory Interns presented the presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. The presentation provided attendees with the following essential skills and Knowledge:

- Understanding the testing process
- Composing defect reports
- Following sign-off procedures

The Workshop presentation session was well attended by the DUT AppFactory mentors and Interns. The attendees found the presentation very informative and wished that there could be other Workshop presentations to gain more knowledge.
