DUT AppFactory Conference

The DUT AppFactory Microsoft Conference has been a very strategic initiative where the University was able to work with interns and DUT students, making sure that they get the exposure to developed web and mobile applications, to be able to help DUTs staff and students improve their business processes.

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) AppFactory, the Knowledge Information Management Cluster, in conjunction with Microsoft South Africa hosted an Embedded, Web, Mobile and Software Development Technologies Conference on 31 August 2021, during a webinar on Microsoft Teams.

The conference was aimed at showcasing the innovative work that Microsoft are engaged in and to provide opportunities for experts, mentors and interns to share their experiences and insights.

In attendance were DUT students, Software Developers, Software Development Managers. Business Administrators, Mobile Phone Developers, Testers. Software Start-up’s and CEO’s, Academics and Researchers.

The attendees found the conference enlightening and pledged to widen their knowledge by experimenting with some of the technologies discussed by the various presenters. A more detailed insight about the Conference can be found on the following link:
