Day 2 at DUT Data Day : DUT Forms Presentation
On the 29th of August 2019 the DUT App Factory presented DUT forms application on DUT Data Day to the DUT staff. This is an automated web-based form approval application that would allow university staff to electronically apply for funding to attend research workshops, seminars or conferences by submitting a DUT 83 application form electronically. This is the first step into the evolution of a paperless forms-based system for the university.
The system provides an interface for managers to approve forms and a discussion section that allows staff and managers to collaborate during the approval process. Staff and managers are electronically notified via emails whenever progress updates occur. The system sends reminders to university staff to submit reports after returning from their respective workshops/seminars or conferences. Furthermore, managers are also sent reminders notifying them about pending approvals.
